Course Overview
This course introduces the candidates to the concepts of the UML 2
- How to read the different UML 2 models and how the different diagrams relate to each
other.
- The Xpdian Strategic Business Framework –This framework discusses the necessary
layers of the enterprise and its contents. It elaborates on the strategic layer, the
business layer and the technology layers that describe the systems that support
business processes.
- Project managing the UML project
- Describes project life cycles
- Introduces a simple project approach
Audience
This course is targeted at team leaders that will manage teams using UML in the development of
business and systems requirements.
Prerequisites
Some background in using or reading models will be advantageous.
Expected outcomes
The delegates will have an understanding of the UML 2 and how the different diagrams specified in
the OMG UML standard relate to each other. The diagrams use in an enterprise architecture
framework will be understood as well as the planning considerations necessary for an efficient
project making use of the UML.
